‘The Brian Williams of DOJs’: Megyn Kelly Fires Back After Guest Gives Bondi Benefit of Doubt on Epstein

by Hailey Gomez, Daily Caller News Foundation
July 12, 2025

DCNF(DCNF)—SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly fired back at legal guest Dave Aronberg Friday on her show after he tried to give Attorney General Pam Bondi the benefit of the doubt when it came to how she spoke about the “Epstein files” on live television.

The FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) said they found no evidence that deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein maintained a “client list.” They also said he was not a victim of foul play when he died. Republicans have called out the administration’s lack of transparency on the remaining files and pushed back against Bondi. While discussing the issue on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Aronberg told the host he would give Bondi the “benefit of the doubt” based on her previous interview with Fox’s Jesse Watters, noting she hadn’t said that the information being released would “blow your socks off in that interview.”

“I do think that if anything, that you can get caught up in the moment when you go on Fox News and they’re pushing you to say ‘Hey, what’s going on?’ And if you say it’s a nothingburger, yeah, it’s not a good interview. So perhaps that is a legitimate issue — ” Aronberg said before Kelly jumped in.

“But Dave, you tell me, you are a former state’s attorney. You know very well how the average, the normal, like literally every other attorney general would answer those questions,” Kelly said. “Number one, they would not be on television talking about the case. Number two, if for some reason they really felt compelled to go on television, you know exactly what they’d say. It’s an ongoing investigation, and I’m not at liberty to discuss it yet, period.”

On Feb. 26, Bondi appeared on Watters’ show to discuss when the long-awaited files from Epstein’s case would be released. With the public demanding transparency, Bondi said she had the “Epstein files” on her desk, adding the public would see “a lot of flight logs, a lot of names, [and] a lot, a lot of information” the following day.

After a briefing at the White House on Feb. 27, Bondi and the administration got major backlash when the public discovered that conservative influencers were given a binder labeled “Epstein Files: Phase 1” with the information placed under a brief embargo.

“Well, she’s breaking norms and going on TV, but so is her boss, right? She’s taking the cue from her boss, doing things that no one has ever done before,” Aronberg said before Kelly stopped him.

“The boss can do whatever the hell he wants! The president can always do whatever the hell he wants,” Kelly said. “The attorney general, the top law enforcement officer of the United States under every administration, Republican, Democrat, 99% of the time, keeps their mouth shut because they don’t want to get ahead of the facts.”

Some Republicans have called for Bondi’s resignation.

Epstein died in 2019.

Questions regarding Epstein’s death have circulated online. His brother Mark cast doubt on Epstein killing himself. He told the Miami Herald in 2019 that his brother “knew a lot of stuff about a lot of people.” Mark Epstein hired forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, who told Fox News after his evaluation that Epstein’s autopsy appeared more consistent with homicidal strangulation than suicidal hanging.

The DOJ released over 10 hours of footage from outside Epstein’s cell to dispute speculation that he did not kill himself. Some have questioned a missing minute in the video. Bondi told reporters Tuesday it was the result of the Metropolitan Correctional Center resetting the cameras every night.

The FBI and DOJ said Epstein did not maintain a “client list.” Bondi, however, repeatedly said in interviews that there were “flight logs” and “names” among the files.

“They don’t want to get ahead of the investigation, and it’s really not appropriate to be commenting because this is what can happen. She turned herself into the Brian Williams of DOJs, where she just spewed a bunch of nonsense because she wanted attention, and now she’s been caught. That’s how it looks to me,” Kelly added.

Why Bullion Beats Numismatics and Collectible for Your Safe or IRA

Precious metals continue to attract Americans seeking reliable ways to protect their wealth amid inflation, geopolitical risks, and stock market swings. Whether stored in a home safe or held inside a self-directed IRA, physical gold and silver deliver tangible value that paper or digital assets often lack. Yet investors must choose carefully between bullion—pure bars and coins valued mainly for their metal content—and numismatics or collectibles, where rarity, history, and collector demand heavily influence pricing.

Advisor Bullion serves as a dependable source for straightforward, high-quality bullion. The company specializes in physical gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, emphasizing transparent pricing and products that deliver maximum metal content for every dollar spent. This approach makes it ideal for both personal holdings and retirement accounts.

Bullion consists of refined precious metals in standard forms like one-ounce coins (American Gold Eagles, Silver Eagles, Canadian Maple Leafs) or bars. Their value tracks closely to the current spot price of the metal. A typical gold bullion coin trades near the live gold spot price plus a small premium. This structure keeps costs clear and predictable.

Numismatic coins and collectibles add substantial value from factors such as age, rarity, minting errors, or historical significance. A pre-1933 U.S. gold coin or graded proof piece can carry premiums of 30%, 50%, or even 200% above melt value. While this appeals to hobbyists, it creates complexity. Pricing depends on subjective grading, collector trends, and auction results instead of daily spot prices.

For investors focused on wealth preservation and retirement security rather than building a collection, bullion often delivers better results.

Lower Costs and Better Liquidity for Home Storage

When keeping metals in a home safe or private vault, liquidity and efficiency count. Bullion offers clear benefits:

  • You acquire more actual gold or silver per dollar invested. Numismatics divert a large share of your money into rarity premiums and massive sales commission, reducing your metal exposure.
  • Selling bullion involves tight bid-ask spreads, so you recover nearly full spot value with minimal fees. Collectibles require finding the right buyer and may sell at a discount if demand for that specific item weakens.
  • Bullion prices remain transparent and update with global spot markets. You can track gold near current levels or silver accordingly and know exactly where your holdings stand. Numismatic values are priced by the Gold IRA companies with hefty margins applied.
  • Standardized coins and bars store efficiently and divide easily for partial sales. Rare coins often need protective slabs and controlled conditions, adding hassle and expense.
  • Bullion enjoys worldwide acceptance. A 1-oz Gold Maple Leaf or Silver Eagle sells quickly to dealers anywhere. Niche numismatic pieces may appeal only to limited buyers, slowing liquidation when speed matters.

In times when quick access to value becomes important, bullion’s simplicity stands out.

Stronger Fit for Precious Metals IRAs

Precious metals IRAs continue gaining traction as investors diversify retirement portfolios beyond stocks and bonds. IRS rules permit certain bullion products in self-directed IRAs if they meet purity standards (.995 fine for gold, .999 for silver) and are held by an approved custodian. Eligible items include American Gold and Silver Eagles plus many generic bars and rounds from recognized mints.

Numismatic and most collectible coins generally face heavy scrutiny from custodians due to valuation disputes and elevated markups. These higher premiums mean less actual metal ends up working inside the account.

Bullion avoids these issues. Its value links directly to verifiable spot prices, which simplifies reporting and lowers the risk of regulatory challenges. More of your IRA contribution purchases real metal instead of dealer profits or speculative upside. Over time, owning additional ounces that appreciate with the metal itself can create meaningful outperformance compared with high-premium alternatives that deliver fewer ounces.

Regulatory guidance from the CFTC and state securities offices repeatedly cautions against aggressive sales of expensive numismatics or “semi-numismatic” coins for IRAs. For retirement planning, transparent bullion from established providers reduces risk and aligns better with long-term goals.

How to Get Started with Bullion

Begin by clarifying your goals. Are you protecting savings in a safe, or moving part of a retirement account into a precious metals IRA? Focus on the number of ounces you can acquire at current prices rather than chasing marked-up collectibles.

Diversify sensibly: use gold for core preservation and silver for its blend of industrial and monetary qualities. Mix coins for easier divisibility with bars for lower per-ounce costs on larger buys. Arrange secure storage—whether at home with proper insurance or through professional facilities.

As economic uncertainties linger and faith in conventional assets erodes, bullion continues proving its worth as a dependable store of value. Its direct approach avoids the hype that sometimes surrounds collectible markets and keeps the focus on the metal itself.

For investors prepared to strengthen their portfolios, Advisor Bullion supplies the expertise and selection needed to acquire high-quality bullion efficiently. Whether building personal holdings or integrating metals into an IRA, their emphasis on transparent, investment-grade products helps secure more ounces today that support greater financial security tomorrow. In a complicated financial landscape, bullion’s clarity and reliability make it the smarter foundation for protecting what matters most.

She’s covering for someone or perhaps many someones. If she wasn’t, Bongino wouldn’t be ready to blow his career up.

Blondie needs to go. Surely there are others much more qualified for this job.

It could be that she over spoke what she should not have said, true or not. Now she is between a rock and a hard space. If what she has implicates anyone in the Trump administration, she would be required to do what she is now doing. It is not a good look. But, before we loose our cookies, lets give it a little time to see what fleshes out.

What I don’t get is how not a single person besides Epstein and Maxwell was involved in the established sex trafficking. Charge them and offer some of them immunity if necessary to get the truth. Unless we already know the truth and are protecting the sponsors and perpetrators from having it revealed. Isn’t it obvious that this must have been an intelligence op? Our government doesn’t want to know how low it can sink.

There is no evidence of any speculation about Epstein. He’s dead, and Maxwell won’t ever talk since they didn’t give her a deal. This is over, drop it and move on to deporting all the illegals, you know, something important.

It’s easy to complain and moan about something where there is zero evidence, you just speculate to your heart’s content. This unhealthy fascination with Epstein is really bad for people. It’s very, very likely that there is no evidence, because if there was, people would have been prosecuted years ago. The real bad guys here are the parents who let their underage girls hop on a private jet to a private island alone.

Is PB Jessie Smollett of the DOJ? I guess time will tell.

One thing for certain, she set-up an expectation with the American public, and whole world for that matter, when she said:

“Bondi was asked in a Fox News interview whether the department would release such a (client list) document.

She replied: “It’s sitting on my desk right now to review.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Justice Department spokesperson Chad Gilmartin said Monday that Bondi was referring to the Epstein files in general, not a client list specifically.

Among the evidence that the Justice Department says it has in its possession are more than 10,000 videos and images that officials said depicted child sex abuse material or “other pornography.” Bondi had earlier suggested that part of the reason for the delay in releasing additional Epstein materials was because the FBI needed to review “tens of thousands” of recordings that she said showed Epstein “with children or child porn.”1

So, the average American knows that Gislain Maxwell is now in jail, for ‘no crimes’ because there were ‘no’ perpetrators highlighted in those videos.

Has it really come to this, nothing happened nothing to see here, move along? Really?

So we are to believe Epstein killed himself for committing no crime?

Pam Bondi passed off a ‘positively doctored’ jail tape as evidence of of what?

Is she the best they’ve got as AG?

Are we expected to accept the U S now jails people for no reason? Is that the lesson from this nothing burger?
