Editor’s Note: Author Michael Snyder highlights the challenges associated with so many companies, including Walmart, hiring illegal aliens. While he never implies that these were “good” practices, he often refers to them as “cheap labor” in the article. Let’s be clear: illegal alien employees are not simply “cheap labor.” They have stolen from American citizens by being here in the first place, then doubled their theft by taking jobs that should never have gone to them.
We have zero pity for any companies that are hurt because of President Trump’s deportations. These companies, including Walmart, knew they were doing tremendous harm to this nation and its citizens but chose profits over us. They do not deserve an ounce of sympathy. As for the illegal aliens hiding or being deported, they are not victims. They are the predators who preyed on poor border policies and disregarded our sovereignty. They made a choice and do not deserve pity, either. With that said, here’s Snyder’s article…
Why are thousands of Walmart workers suddenly “vanishing” all over the nation? And why are vast numbers of agricultural workers suddenly no longer showing up for work? What I am about to share with you is extremely alarming. During the “open border years”, our economy became extremely dependent on very cheap migrant labor. Now that the border has been secured and mass deportations are occurring, major employers throughout the country are experiencing a case of severe whiplash.
The open border policies of Joe Biden caused a tremendous amount of chaos from coast to coast. Violent criminals came pouring in, and we definitely need to get those violent criminals out. For example, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem just revealed that a cannibal that was being deported literally started “to eat himself” on the plane ride out of the United States…
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made the eyebrow-raising revelation during an appearance alongside Trump while visiting a makeshift immigrant detention facility in the Florida Everglades that has been dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz” by Sunshine State officials and the president’s supporters.
“They said that they had detained a cannibal and put him on a plane to take him home, and while they had him in his seat, he started to eat himself, and they had to get him off and get him medical attention,” Noem said.
The revelation came as Noem detailed the Trump administration’s efforts to find and deport millions of migrants who have been living and working in the country, often with official work authorizations, over the last few years.
Keeping people like that from entering the country illegally is a matter of national security. So we should be thankful that the federal government is finally taking action.
But the mass deportations are also causing enormous problems for major U.S. employers who broke the law with their hiring.
Walmart is the largest private employer in the United States, and they are “losing coworkers overnight” due to a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision…
Walmart employees are saying they’re losing coworkers overnight.
The retailer, America’s largest private employer, is complying with a sweeping Supreme Court decision that allowed the Trump administration to revoke work protections for half a million migrant employees.
Walmart staffers are saying the company is responding with quick staffing cuts in stores. They’re worried there aren’t enough workers.
So many Walmart workers are suddenly vanishing that it is creating a tremendous amount of strain on the workers that remain…
One Reddit user claimed their location lost 10 employees with work visas. Another reported 40 departures at a 400-person store, forcing older workers and managers to stretch themselves thin just to keep shelves stocked.
“Most of our older floor associates are constantly asking for help,” one employee wrote. “It’s not really ideal.”
Farms all over the nation are also being hit really hard by the mass deportations. Fear of being rounded up has caused vast numbers of migrants to go into hiding, and as a result 70 percent of farm workers have stopped reporting to work in some areas of the country…
Immigration enforcement operations on farms have left crops rotting and farm operations disrupted in major agricultural states including California, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
Farm owners and industry representatives report that up to 70 percent of workers stopped reporting to work following Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions, resulting in significant crop losses and financial strain.
If healthy crops are allowed to rot, that won’t be good for any of us, because it will mean higher prices at the grocery store.
This crisis is particularly severe in Southern California…
In the vast agricultural lands north of Los Angeles, stretching from Ventura County into the state’s central valley, two farmers, two field supervisors and four immigrant farmworkers told Reuters this month that the ICE raids have led a majority of workers to stop showing up.
That means crops are not being picked and fruit and vegetables are rotting at peak harvest time, they said.
One Mexican farm supervisor, who asked not to be named, was overseeing a field being prepared for planting strawberries last week. Usually he would have 300 workers, he said. On this day he had just 80. Another supervisor at a different farm said he usually has 80 workers in a field, but today just 17.
We should have never allowed ourselves to become so dependent on cheap migrant labor.
Now we are facing significant labor shortages throughout our agricultural supply chains…
“We do not have enough workforce in the United States to do manual work, to do those jobs that other people are not qualified to do and do not want to do it,” Alexandra Sossa, CEO of Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project, told Newsweek. “For example, we are running into a problem where we do not have enough farm workers to grow the food we eat every day.
“Now we do not have enough workers to go to the meatpacking processing industries and factories to produce, to pack the food that we are eating.”
Ultimately, U.S. citizens are going to have to start taking over the jobs that are being vacated.
And there should be plenty of workers available, because economic conditions have been deteriorating and the labor market has been very weak lately…
The frozen labor market adds another layer of concern for consumer spending. Private sector wage growth continues slowing as unemployment duration rises and job seekers give up. This creates a feedback loop: weaker labor market conditions reduce workers’ bargaining power, which slows wage growth and ultimately constrains spending.
One way or another, we are just going to have to adjust. Because we can’t ever go back to the days when our borders were completely wide open.
The violence that happens on the other side of our southern border is absolutely horrifying, and we definitely don’t want to see similar violence in communities all over America…
Sinaloa Cartel gunmen killed close to two dozen rivals, hanging four from a bridge, dismembering some, stuffing them in bags, and stacking the rest inside a van. The gory crime scenes sparked terror as two main factions, the Chapitos and Mayiza factions of the Sinaloa Cartel, continue to wage a fierce turf war that killed hundreds and rages on, for almost a year, despite the many assurances by Mexico’s government about cracking down on cartel violence. The Sinaloa Cartel is designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. Department of State.
Some of the most violent areas on the entire planet are located in northern Mexico.
It is the duty of the federal government to protect us from that violence.
Unfortunately, disrupting the economy has been a side effect of securing the border.
Hopefully U.S. citizens will be willing to step up and fill the gaps that have been created in our supply chains.
If that doesn’t happen, we could experience some big problems in the months ahead.

Why One Survival Food Company Shines Above the Rest
Let’s be real. “Prepper Food” or “Survival Food” is generally awful. The vast majority of companies that push their cans, bags, or buckets desperately hope that their customers never try them and stick them in the closet or pantry instead. Why? Because if the first time they try them is after the crap hits the fan, they’ll be too shaken to call and complain about the quality.
It’s true. Most long-term storage food is made with the cheapest possible ingredients with limited taste and even less nutritional value. This is why they tout calories so much. Sure, they provide calories but does anyone really want to go into the apocalypse with food their family can’t stand?
This is what prompted the Llewellyns to launch Heaven’s Harvest. They bought survival food from multiple companies and determined they couldn’t imagine being stuck in an extended emergency with such low-quality food. They quickly discovered that freeze drying food for long-term storage doesn’t have to mean sacrificing flavor, consistency, or nutrition.
Their ingredients are all-American. In fact, they’re locally sourced and all-natural! This allows their products to be the highest quality on the market, so good that their customers often break open a bag in a pinch to eat because they want to, not just because they have to due to an emergency.
At Heaven’s Harvest, their only focus is amazing food. They don’t sell bugout bags, solar chargers, or multitools. They have one mission – feeding Americans in times of crisis.
What they DO offer is the ability for people to thrive in times of greatest need. On top of long-term storage food, they offer seeds to help Americans for the truly long-term. They want them to grow their own food if possible which is why they offer only Heirloom, Non-GMO, Non-Hybrid, Open-Pollinated seeds so their customers can build permanent food security on their own property.
Basically we just reconfigured slavery or indentured servitude.
True. The fact is, there are PLENTY of people to do these jobs, but NOT at SLAVE WAGES. An unpleasant job needs something to make it more desirable…. aka money. It’s precisely true that the illegal worker effect has been to supress wages so badly that it began to hurt the middle class. There are MANY Americans who make less than $20/hr, and those employers REFUSE to offer more, while complaining they can’t find any “qualified” candidates. At the same time, you can find THOUSANDS of well qualified citizen candidates who say their application is summarily rejected in as little as 20 minutes after submittal. No pity for Wal Mart and every other opportunist who has played this situation against Americans.
That applies to the airlines. Every ‘pilot shortage’ has actually been the airlines paying very low wages. A separate income stream, usually a working spouse, is required for a pilot to make it through the first few years of employment at an airline. Even then, the quality of living is low.
It is sad we are so dependent on illegals for such work. More sad yet is the crop of teens through late 20’s citizens in our workforce are some of the least educated , least motivated, very lazy. I work in a skilled trade and to find anyone under 35 that will “apprentice” or minimally pull their weight and learn is almost nil. Our public education creates vegetables mentally and the corrupted woke society just tops them off to an extremely useless degree.
There is a reason Walmart’s symbol is a big yellow SPHINCTER.
I would buy a farm in a heartbeat if the government regulations and farm prices weren’t outrageous. This problem goes beyond illegals. It has to do with farmers being abused, their offspring being disinterested in farming and low birthrates. They were squeezed out, not disinterested. Farmers are the real lifeblood of any country, not bug farmers and mystery meat producers.
Americans WILL work.

I go to Costco and my store does tremendous business, 1000s of customers a day with complete efficiency. The workers are all high quality workers, most seem to have some sort of college education, speak perfect English, are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And there are dozens of them on the floor constantly helping customers and each other. And what I like best, I see the same workers every week year a few year….very low turnover. A perfect service model. No illegal works anywhere. Why can they do it, run it well and make tremendous profit with out illegals or bottoms of the rung workers??? It’s a lie that you can’t make a profit while having highly qualified workers in a service industry. Trader Joe, Texas RoadHouse, Chik-fil-a, are other examples and they are top performers in their fields. Of course, these successful companies will be inevitably be destroyed by a new CEO that will have the brilliant idea of cost cutting by lowering customer service.
Illegal migrant labor is a form of modern day indentured servitude, but voluntary. The same Party that fought to defend Slavery is still fighting to keep indentured servants today. Human trafficking by any other name.
Real migrant farm workers are in the country legally, they have a separate VISA that allows them to work in the USA when needed and then they return home. It has been this way for over 50 years. The claim that illegals are not there to work the farms is a lie, they don’t want to work stoop labor.
If you’re in this country illegally, I have absolutely NO sympathy for you and your family when you get deported. And bet on it, you *will* be deported. Period. Get out of this country NOW.
By the way, if any of you NYers are preparing to move to central and south Florida, or simply considering it, STAY OUT. You are not welcome. You will be made to feel very uncomfortable. Your progressive, communist and socialist policies ruined your state, so you just stay there and wallow in your self-created filth.
Nyers created their own mess by voting in liberals. Now they are waking up and finding out there isn’t a free lunch never was and never will be. Why would anyone in their right mind want to live with a 62% tax rate. All the people with money are leaving in droves leaving the have nots behind. NY City is going tits up!
WalMart always has plent of people standing around and doing nothing. They should be fine.
I’m near 80, born in Sacramento. When I was a kid old town Sacramento was several blocks of cheap bars and flop houses. When field and orchard workers were needed, busses from the various farms came to old Sac and loaded up the winos in the early morning and brought them back that evening. Working during the day and earning money was probably better health wise than winos life today. The farms fed them. To do the work they had to eat, too. Not just drink. And welfare didn’t pay the able bodied to sit home.
In the summer break, many high school and college students worked the fields, too. I picked walnuts and tomatoes.
They are leaving out two things. 1) America overpriduces food and with export price limitations, has little world market. We pay farmers to NOT grow crops in some cases. And 2) if you remove 20 million fewer mouths to feed, you don’t need as much food. What America should have done and should still do is force equal wages for illegal workers. The government should remove that incentive across the board.
Nobody noticed but it all started with the scare that we are overpopulating the planet which turned out to be a BIG LIE that so many in the West fell for it, that it was just a communist tactic lie to get rid of the West and it superior capitalism via abortion, illegal invasion, and global warming. Yes, it is true, we have no one to blame but ourselves for overreacting, getting lazy, and believing the left, who are BORN liars and tossing our faith, our Bible out the door and embracing the liars.
No worries, Mamdani will mandate workers for all socialist demands. Get ready to take your kids to work with you in the tomato fields
As those illegals flee the workplace, American workers will finally start seeing competitive wages from the bottom up.
Real meaningful wage growth proceeded steadily from our founding all the way through to the 70’s when it abruptly stopped. What do you think happened from the 70’s onwards?!!
The USG and politicians from both parties came together to open up the spigot of illegals pouring into our country. In the decades since, this process has never stopped, it proceeded apace varying ever so slightly depending on whether the Democrats were in control of the USG or the Republicans. For most of that time period, RINO Republicans were primarily responsible for the endless supply of cheap labor, escalating crime, demographic changes etc. The GOP Establishment RINO Party was perfectly content to sell the American worker out in exchange for cut backs and support from the corporations.
Only recently did this dynamic completely reverse, once the Democrats realized their pathway to a permanent political majority could be achieved by replacing the predominantly white, working/middle class American populace with predominantly Hispanic migrants and various other minority groups, who were pro socialist and accustomed to the rot & destruction endemic to every socialist nation.
Let the employers, which are predominantly multibillion dollar global corporations and monopolies with little to no allegiance to America and its people squirm. Force them to forego some profits in favor of raising wages, benefits and other incentives to be more competitive in the job market. As that plays out, more and more Americans will enter the workforce.
An excellent way to speed this process up and also curb some of the excess spending is to make a serious effort at cutting entitlements. It’s pretty hard to convince an American to work 40 hours per week for compensation at or slightly above what they’re given for DOING NOTHING!! Throw all of the freeloaders off of the state and federal welfare programs, cut the BS educational grants that pay losers to attend worthless schools for even more worthless degrees, the disability fraudsters etc.
Everyone who’s capable of working, needs to get off their a$$es and go to work. Welfare benefits were supposed to provide subsistence living for a short period of time. Yet somehow America’s got 50+ million people who’ve turned it into a career + retirement + lifestyle!!
Most farm work is done by machines these days. Farmers will have to switch from farm labor, to mechanized farming. I can’t think of any crop that can’t be harvested by machine.
Walmart is still using illegal aliens to deliver via it’s Spark company. Spark is owned by Walmart. It is rampant with illegals. I have been a Spark driver for many years and have known many of them. Recently Walmart tried to scam everyone by telling us they were getting rid of the illegal drivers and that drivers would have to upload pictures of Real ID verified driver’s licenses. However, that would mean losing all their cheap illegals who love doing deliveries at the current rate of $2.33 per drop vs $7.00 per drop Walmart paid us just 3 years ago. So what did Walmart do? No problem… can’t get a Real ID drivers license… send us a picture of a fake social security card off the internet instead. Such B.S. Walmart LOVES illegal delivery drivers! At our Walmart the legit Americans cannot get enough orders to survive because we are losing orders to the dozen illegals camping out in the parking lot taking orders.
Labor shortages do not exist. We have Greed Surpluses among certain industries, like Agriculture and Walmart.
Agriculture is too cheap & lazy to begin the process of mechanization that will make illegal alien invaders into excess baggage we can’t afford .
