(The Post Millennial)—Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has announced plans to split his inheritance among all his children, including more than 100 that he fathered through his sperm clinic. Billionaire Durov said that he intends to make “no difference” between the children conceived through sperm donation and those he fathered with the three women with whom he had six children.
“I want to specify that I make no difference between my children: there are those who were conceived naturally and those who come from my sperm donations,” Durov said. “They are all my children and will all have the same rights! I don’t want them to tear each other apart after my death.”
Durov is worth about $14 billion, and many of those 100 children he fathered via sperm donation were via anonymous sperm donations. Durov, at 40 years old, has started to draft his will, which prompted the revelation.
“I decided that my children would not have access to my fortune until a period of 30 years has elapsed, starting from today. I want them to live like normal people, to build themselves up alone, to learn to trust themselves, to be able to create, not be dependent on a bank account,” he said during an interview with the French outlet Le Point, via Fox.
The children fathered via sperm donation span 12 different countries. Durov was arrested in August in France over allegations that his Telegram platform was being used for crimes like drug dealing, sex trafficking, or child exploitation images.
