(Border Hawk)—A U.S. citizen was arrested for smuggling illegal aliens in load of hay bales in Texas this week.
The bust unfolded on Sunday in Val Verde County.
Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) troopers pulled over a suspicious pickup truck and trailer on US-277.
After “observing criminal indicators” and being denied consent to search the vehicle, troopers called in a U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) K-9.
The dog alerted to a false compartment under the bales of hay and two illegal aliens were found hiding inside.
