A Hampton Inn in Lakeville, Minnesota, found itself stripped of federal lodging privileges this week after management outright refused to house Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. The General Services Administration (GSA) acted swiftly, yanking the hotel from its approved list for government employees and military personnel.
This move came on the heels of emails revealing the hotel’s policy: “not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property.” GSA Administrator Edward Forst, recently sworn in under President Trump, made it clear that such violations wouldn’t stand, pulling the plug on the property’s participation in programs like FedRooms, which offer discounted stays for federal travelers.
The controversy erupted as the Trump administration deploys around 2,000 federal agents to the Minneapolis area to tackle a massive welfare fraud scandal plaguing the state. Investigators are zeroing in on fraudulent daycare centers and Medicaid schemes, many linked to Minnesota’s large Somali immigrant community, the biggest in the nation according to Census data.
Last year alone, these operations siphoned off hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars, fueling calls for accountability and stricter oversight. With ICE ramping up detentions—over 600 people nabbed in December 2025—the need for secure lodging for agents has never been more pressing.
Hilton Hotels, the parent company, initially claimed the Lakeville location—an independently owned franchise—had backtracked and apologized, insisting their doors were open to all without discrimination. But a video that went viral on X, captured by journalist Nick Sortor, exposed otherwise.
🚨 BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: I went into the Minnesota Hilton who “apologized” for banning DHS agents, and EXPOSED them for CONTINUING to ban DHS agents@HiltonHotels has decided they want the FULL BUDLIGHT treatment at this point.

In the footage, a front-desk employee doubled down on the ban, flatly denying rooms to federal officers despite corporate assurances. This blatant contradiction prompted Hilton to sever ties entirely, removing the hotel from their network and website by Tuesday morning.
“A recent video clearly raises concerns that they are not meeting our standards and values,” the company stated, emphasizing their commitment to being a welcoming place for everyone.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) didn’t hold back, publicly blasting the hotel for “maliciously” canceling reservations made with official government emails and rates. Sources indicate the Hampton Inn had hosted federal agents for about 130 nights in 2025, making the sudden reversal all the more suspicious. Amid the fraud probes, DHS has maintained a strong footprint in Minnesota, where scandals have rocked Governor Tim Walz’s administration. On Monday, Walz announced he won’t seek re-election, a decision that coincides with mounting revelations about record-level fraud under his watch.
ICE protesters have amplified tensions, staging late-night events outside suspected agent hotels and confronting ICE teams in neighborhoods like Cedar-Riverside. One clash on December 9, 2025, saw demonstrators rally against what they called targeted operations in the Somali community. Yet, these actions raise questions about coordinated efforts to hinder law enforcement—could local businesses, influenced by activist pressure or political leanings, be quietly sabotaging federal missions? In a state riddled with unvetted programs that invited abuse, such resistance only prolongs the chaos.
This isn’t just about one hotel; it’s a snapshot of deeper fractures in how communities respond to border security and immigration enforcement. Minnesota’s fraud epidemic, involving schemes that exploited autism services and childcare subsidies, has left innocent families in the lurch while perpetrators walked away with fortunes. Federal intervention aims to restore order, but when establishments like the Hampton Inn choose sides against those upholding the law, it erodes public trust and delays justice.
Ignoring that principle invites disorder, especially when lives and resources are at stake. The administration’s push to denaturalize those involved in the fraud, as floated by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, signals a no-nonsense approach to rooting out deceit.
Ultimately, the GSA’s decision sends a firm message: federal partners must support, not obstruct, the men and women protecting our borders and our streets. As deportations accelerate and scandals unravel, expect more scrutiny on entities that prioritize politics over patriotism. The Lakeville incident may be the tip of the iceberg in a broader battle to secure America’s interior.

Looks like Hilton will go the way of Bud Lite. I’ll be looking for other places to stay on any domestic or international trips.
FAFO.
This is all on the franchise not Hilton…
Exactly. That fantastically stupid employee who cancelled the reservations was likely terminated already, but I doubt that franchise will survive by having a major portion of their business guests gone for good. Hilton is not to blame for this idiocy.
Maybe not if the ’employee’ was the Indian owner.
Shirley he went back to the hotel and tried to book again and they asked for his Hilton rewards number indicating they still have access to Hilton’s computers even though you can’t book through Hilton website. They never learn.
Hilton should have told them, BACK OFF.
ICE needs to look into the Paki owners of this hotel. 100 to 1 says at least half of them aré illegal
The owner and management were muslim and indian probably H1B AMERICAN HATING thugs who should never been allowed in our country.
Before you book a stay anywhere, you need to ask who the owner is and look them up. Foreign owed hotels have foreign values regarding everything, including basic cleanliness.
Very true. One of the worst stays I ever made was at a Super 8 in Knoxville. It was Mideast Muslim family run, by the rudest, crudest bunch I’ve ever had the misfortune to run across. Same in Dunedin, FL, where I didn’t stay, but cancelled in a timely manner but spent a month trying to get my deposit back. Never patronize Muslim run motels.
Check that – they were Indians from India.
The communist loving anti-American Hilton hotel chain must be investigated and taken down. The IRS needs to look into all of their hotels, they must be laundering money for criminal organizations if they are refusing Law Enforcement. I wonder how many illegal aliens they have working for them? Isn’t it illegal to hire illegal aliens? Are they paying them their full wages? Are they paying the Taxes they are supposed to on their employees? The Social Security taxes, the Medicaid and Medicare taxes? Hilton needs to be fully investigated. Americans should refuse to stay at all Hilton Properties. Hilton, anti-American, pro criminal and criminal alien.
I love FAFO.
I stay away from Hampton Inns. They have gone downhill and most have cockroaches and other infestations. Now I know why- Indian owned franchise! They have to be the nastiest people on earth
Despite what Hilton says, Hilton had NOT pulled the franchise for this hotel so EVERY Hilton hotel should be removed from federal programs. We don’t want to reward these bigoted lying bastards.
This particular hotel, the Hampton Inn Lakeville outside Minneapolis was bought for $15 million last summer, according to news reports.
The LLC that was used to purchase the hotel is owned by four Indian partners—Parmjit Singh, Amanpreet Hundal, Karandeep Nagra, and Mohinderjeet Kaur—according to public records filed last June with the Minnesota Secretary of State.
Why does every story leave out that Indians are buying up all sorts of hotels and franchises? Where is their money coming from? It’s on an industrial scale. Everyone now knows the Somalis were given hundreds of thousands to millions. The Indians also have been given loans to buy up gas stations all over the South. Buy up all kinds of lower level hotels across the US. These loans were denied to WHITE people. That is a fact. White people have been screaming about this for over a dozen years.
I think it’s important to know who owns the properties you want to stay at. These foreign entities use their money to buy American assets but import with them as well their crude cultural attitudes and anti-American sentiments, and operate under the umbrella that they are beyond criticism because that would be racist. It’s time we dealt with them and THEIR racism in like manner.
250,000. coming from our government. us citizens cant get it. plus 5 yrs tax deferred only for immigrant businesses.
IF Tim Walz is DEI,
AND DEI authorities hire weaker / more stupid DEIs as subordinates
AND as a working government team, they grift the taxpayer to the tune of billions
AND they do a poor job of it (DEI)
THEN you have a real, multi-level crisis in government…the top level being incompetence and corruption.
Hampton Inn and Butt Lite could start a club.
How many illegals still get hotels stays free thanks to the democrats?
Radical Leftist Demonunists deliberately choose illegal “POC” as human shields for their money laundering operations. They are counting on a compliant partisan propaganda press to run cover for the criminal activity by using the “armor” they believe that ethnicity provides. They believe that elected officials and law enforcement will hesitate when a POC/”Immigrant” is involved. They believe that the armor of “diversity” will prevent criticism and even SCRUTINY of their human shields. And when the armor dissolves under the scrutiny of the Trump justice department, they have a ready-made human sacrifice since the human shield has been exposed and will absorb the penalties—if there are any.
Never Hilton again. Home2 Suites by Hilton Thomasville, GA, wanted to charge us $75 pet fee for a little guinea pig in a small cage that 2 other hotels did not on a 3 day trip. People at the other hotels thought he was cute and welcomed him. The woman a the Hilton insisted, we cancelled, drove all the way home 13 hours.
For me the irony is I actually black balled a hotel in the Twin Cities area years ago for poor service. I stopped my state employees from going there. Actually we made hundreds of reservations for our district employees and I got so good at getting deals, the person for the state in charge of it turned it over to me and to pass on the rates to him to share.
The Feds need to contact Hilton Inc and suggest they come up with a plan in advance and share it with independents as to what will happen in the future if they try to be cute and follow suit.
The owners are of Indian and Somalian decent so…
