(The Post Millennial)—A mob of anti-ICE protesters clashed with immigration agents outside a San Francisco immigration courthouse on Wednesday, leaving several officers injured and one protester facing federal charges for assault.
According to court filings cited by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Adrian Guerrero was armed with a knife during the altercation outside the courthouse on 100 Montgomery Street. Guerrero is accused of slashing the tire of a government vehicle and repeatedly making threats to an agent, including “I’m going to f*ck you up,” “I’m going to go after your family,” and “I’m going to stab you.”
The confrontation began as ICE agents were carrying out a removal operation in the California city, when protesters reportedly surrounded and physically attacked four officers, throwing punches and using pepper spray. Agents suffered injuries from the pepper spray, and one officer had a jammed finger. Guerrero was arrested with a knife, orange-tinted goggles, and a patterned keffiyeh, which is often worn by pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
Guerrero has been charged with assault on a federal officer and destruction of government property.
