(Red State)—Before we get into the nitty gritty, I first have to explain — I can’t stop myself; it’s awesome — the “LETITIA Act,” brilliantly named by the legislation’s sponsor, Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn.
The acronym “LETITIA” stands for Law Enforcement Tools to Interdict Troubling Investments in Abodes Act, as reported on Monday. The intent of the bill is to crack down on public officials who use their positions to increase their personal wealth, particularly through fraudulent means.
As you can probably tell, Cornyn named the bill for widely discredited New York Attorney General Letitia James — who not only won a $454 million judgment against President Donald Trump and the Trump family over allegations of faulty business practices, but has also for years been among several TDS-riddled Democrat state attorneys general who have challenged Trump’s policies.
And just recently, James announced she is suing the Trump administration for “unlawful attacks” on so-called “gender-affirming care,” which includes irreversible mutilation (mastectomies and castrations) performed on minors who believe they were born “the wrong gender.”
Earlier in 2025, the Justice Department opened an investigation into James over allegations of mortgage fraud.
