The board of Astronomer has accepted the resignation of CEO Andy Byron after an incident at a Coldplay concert that suddenly made the company more well-known.

Astronomer explained that Byron offered his resignation, and the board of directors agreed to it.
During the concert, Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin saw a couple on the Kiss Cam and joked if they might be having an affair. People online figured out that the pair was likely Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot.

Pete DeJoy, who is a co-founder and the Chief Product Officer, will step in as temporary CEO while the board looks for a new permanent leader.
